Pelando con FreeBSD

    En estos días que se me terminan las vacaciones decidi volver a poner freebsd en una maquina, y dejarlo como sistema defacto.
    El asunto es que entre que habia sacado el freebsd y lo he vuelto a poner, habia cambiado la tarjeta de video.

    En aquel momento no tuve problemas con las X, pero despues de casi todo el día, ya me tiene podrido.

    No inician las X, cada vez que hago
    Xorg -configure
    X -config /root/xorg.conf.new

    me dice Out of range.
    Cuando modifico el archivo, que hasta ahora lo único que he agregado es Mode "1024x768"
    Sigue sin funcionar.
    Instale los driver de nvidia también.. para ver si por ahí se arreglaba.
    /usr/ports/x11/nvidia-drivers # make install clean
    y nada.

    Creo que se refiere a XFree86, pero yo no tengo ese servidor instalado. tengo Xorg.

    Otra cosa que hice, fue copiar el Xorg de mi otra maquina de GNU/Linux, es decir, copie y pege el /etc/X11/xorg.conf para ver si pasaba algo.. y sigue dando los mismos errores.

    Es decir, yo creo que el error está en que la maquina piensa que tengo XFree86 y tengo Xorg.

    pero no sé bien como arreglar esto.. las soluciones que se encuentran para rreglar las X no dan problemas con esto

    Bien.. pues yo estoy bastante peor que el hombre del blog.
    Yo no tenia esos ports,bueno los consegui. segui sus consejos, edite el /boot/loader.conf

    le agregue el agp_load="YES" y charán..ahora no carga el kernel.
    solo sale el loader promt.

    Y no sé editar /boot/loader.conf desde ahí.
    entonces desde el cd freebsd, se crea una especie de LiveCD donde supuestamente podria arreglar mi problema

    estoy queriendo montar ahora / en esta shell que tengo.
    pero no esoty podiendo

    mount -t ufs /dev/ad1 /media/freebsd

    y me dice operacion de bloque no permitida.
    lo probe con ad0 ad1 ad1s1 ad1s1 ad1s1a etc y nada.. no puedo..

    cuando hago eso con ad1 o ad0 me da incorrect super block.

    googleando no encuentro nada.. :@

    Mira con dmesg cuál es el disco duro

    Si no puedes montar el disco (y luego hacer chroot y editar lo que quieras ) ya vemos otra opción.

    pues pude montar /dev/ad1s1e..f

    Pero el ad1s1a donde está / no la quiere montar.
    hice un bsdlabel /dev/ad1s1
    y efectivamente tiene el mismo sistema de ficheros 4.2BSD que el del los otros que pude montar.
    entonces no entiendo porque no me deja montar el primero.


    buscando un poco no estoy seguro si esto es solo de linux, pero hice

    mount -t ufs -o ufstype=42bsd /dev/ad1s1a /media/fs4

    pero me dice que ufstype= no soportadoa

    Lo propio es montar el sistema de archivos raíz desde otro FreeBSD, desde GNU/linux no estoy seguro de que esté soportada la escritura.

    bien, acabo de reparar el sector de arranque, y estoy en la misma maquina pero desde windows,

    buscando un programa para escribir ufs.

    pero no hay, solo encuentro de lectura, creo que lo único que me queda es bajarme el liveCD de freebsd, y arreglar todo desde ahí. :-/

    ya les cuento como me va.
