duda arrancar ubuntu - wubi primero

buuenas
tengo instalado ubuntu 8.04 con wubi
pues bien, el grub "virtual", por defecto arranca ubuntu, pero esta despues del de windows.
algo asi

arranco

menu:
  windows (por defecto)
  ubuntu

y luego el grub "virtual"
  ubuntu kernel
  bla bla

si voy a windows no aparece mas que el arranque de windows, por lo que no puedo, o no se modificar el arranque de windows para que arranque por defecto ubuntu.

quiero eso, que ubuntu arranque por defecto.

Para que arranque ubuntu por defecto debes configurar el valor "default" del archivo /boot/grub/menu.lst

Con
default 0
arrancará la primera entrada (włndows), así que debes poner
default 1
para que arranque la segunda entrada (ubuntµ)

soy un poco zato

lo que no entiendo es que si modifico el grub,que esta despues del arranque por defecto de windows, como va a afectar que no arranque. No lo entiendo

os paso mi menu.lst

y me decis lo que tengo q cambiar, pero creo q no funcionaria, por que es WUBI, recordad.

No funcionaría, pero no porque sea wubi (, bueno, quizá sí por eso ), sino porque tienes que reescribir el mbr del disco y hacer que sea grub quien diga dónde se encuentra cada sistema y cuál quieres arrancar primero.

Para ello debes averiguar cuál es tu disco principal (donde está instalado WłINDOWS) e instalar ahí el grub conrrectamente configurado.

Suponiendo que el disco sea /dev/hda, el comando sería algo así:

grub-install /dev/hda

pero esto que me comentas... implica reinstalar el grub en el mbr, y yo no quiero tocar el mbr que señala a "ventanucos vista".

entonces, creo que es algo que hay que tocar en windows, o donde sea que se guarda el wubi, y su sistema virtualizador de disco duro. pero "mierda vindous vista" no se entera que hay esa otra opcion de sistema operativo...

En ese caso tu post está mal ubicado y debería estar en la sección WINDOWS
